The first day of the CU Regional Session is almost over and the delegates are getting prepared for the exciting times ahead. DEVE spent the evening DEVEloping their skills as a team and discovered that they have extreme difficulties with counting.
The delegates became detectives as they tried to work out who the liars were on the committee with some claiming to have dyed their hair blue, been a professional stunt cyclist as a one and a half year old and many other extravagant happenings in their short lives.
The greatest victory achieved by the committee was the strategy they created in order to play the counting game. The aim of the game is to count to twenty, blindfolded, without saying the same number at the same time. The group came up with an ingenious tactic to outsmart the game DUN DUN DUN… they all agreed to be ‘asthmatic’ (taking extremely deep audible breaths) before uttering the next number. The sound of their own breaths drove them to hysteria but they finally managed to reach the elusive number twenty.
With the help of a bit of JB, Dutch cheese and horrendous knowledge of Irish geography the question game was like no other. The committee’s admirable efforts were eventually rewarded as they had the pleasure of hearing the voice of an angel (i.e Me xoxo). This crew are soaring, flying and prepared for when the real work starts tomorrow!
