How have you found Head Organisation thus far?
Head organising has been possibly one of the most challenging things I have ever done but once I’ve gotten to the session I’ve really enjoyed it and its all because of the people who are here and the fact that everyone who I really wanted to be here is here.
What has been the most challenging thing you have faced during the session?
I think possibly the past 2 weeks of making sure all the delegates got here, constantly contacting schools, parents and the different people to get in contact with. I think it is the same with every session, the last 2 weeks before it are the biggest struggle. It’s getting every final bit and making sure you don’t forget anything.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
It has incredible job satisfaction. When you have planned something to such a degree you see it come to life and it works smoothly. It’s the most rewarding thing ever.
How fabulous are the members of the Organising team?
The members of the Orga team are really fab. I have favourite qualities about each of them [laughing, Ciaran falls off his chair] I enjoy each of the Organising team members for different reasons. All of them because I have either chaired them or they’ve been my baes. They are great, they really are.
Do you have any embarassing stories from the session to share?
Ciaran Schutten is just an embarrassment. That covers it, I don’t need to add to that.
Do you have any advice for the delegates?
To enjoy every second and I really hope you cherish this experience forever and continue to come back to EYP until you physically can’t.
